Biography
Dr. Hunt is a native of North Carolina and attended Appalachian State University for his undergraduate education. He earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 2014. Throughout his education, Dr. Hunt was privileged to work with excellent mentors and receive specialized training in ocular disease, pediatrics, vision therapy, low vision rehabilitation, and refractive and cataract surgery co-management.
Personal Associations and Hobbies
Dr. Hunt is a member of the American Optometric Association and is the Area 5 Chair for the West Virginia Association of Optometric Physicians. He is also heavily involved at his church in Elkins. In his free time, Dr. Hunt enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, and spending time with his wife, daughter and two dogs. He looks forward to providing your family with comprehensive vision care.
Dr. Hunt especially enjoys fitting specialty contact lenses to treat keratoconus and other corneal disorders. These lenses are often able to restore functional and clear vision that would not be possible with glasses or other types of vision correction.
